Bjorn and I left South Africa on the 6th March and stopped off in Dubai for an hour or two, then landed in the UK on the 7th March.
As you can see,it was a very warm welcome..
Wendy took us to see Windsor Castle, and some coffee at Starbucks..Mmmm,lovely!
That night, after Bjorn had left, Wendy and Cobus took me to a Thai restaurant, which was a very nice experience with very very nice food!!
On the 11th March Wendy and Cobus took Bjorn and I to The Starfish Charity dinner at the Runnymede Hotel. Wonderful food and atmosphere and very nice people at our table.
For those that don't know, Starfish is a South African charity, which meant they were selling good old South African food, and had many samples..like biltong, niknaks and ouma rusks!!It was lovely to see non South Africans promoting SA like that, and having so much interest in our country!
They also had a raffle, and Graham and Jen won a case of castle which Bjorn carried when we went to crash the party in the Hotel's restaurant. The South African waiter was so pleased to see some castle, yet eager to get us out of the room becuase we had brought our own drinks!
